An EastEnders fan believes they have worked out this year’s Christmas storyline and how Danny Dyer may exit the BBC One soap.
Taking to Twitter, soap fan Ryan predicted that Linda Carter (played by Kellie Bright) will fake having amnesia when she wakes up from her coma and will pretend that she doesn’t remember Janine Butcher’s (played by Charlie Brooks) involvement in the car crash that led to her being in hospital.
But he thinks Linda will “get her own back on Janine in the end” and everything will be exposed on Christmas Day and rip the Carter family apart, leading to Mick Carter’s (played by Danny Dyer) departure.

He wrote: “With Linda set to wake up tomorrow the clock is ticking for Janine now. I think Linda might remember what happened – but keep Janine in the clear for now.
“If Linda is faking amnesia she might inform Sharon and then find the right moment to strike and get her own back on Janine in the end.
“I can see all of this blowing up on Xmas day. Linda feigning amnesia – come Xmas day the whole secret blows up rips the Carter’s apart and then that’s how Mick might choose to leave the Square in the end.”

The fan also asked his followers their opinions, writing: “Do you think Linda will fake amnesia when she wakes up tomorrow and then team up with Sharon to expose Janine’s secret? #EastEnders”.
Over 76% of his followers thought this would be the case, however some disagreed with one writing: “If she’s been in a coma I think she will be too confused and disoriented to even think about faking it.”
Recent scenes have seen a devastated Mick full of worry as he visits his estranged wife in hospital after she was involved in an explosive car crash with his current love interest Janine.

The scenes saw the pair smash into a tree with Janine losing control of the car after avoiding an oncoming lorry.
Just moments before the collision, the duo were arguing over their love interest Mick.
Following the crash Janine then moved a drunk Linda’s body so it looked like she was driving the vehicle before the collision.

An EastEnders spokesperson confirmed Danny’s exit earlier this year. They said in a statement: “”Danny will be leaving EastEnders when his contract comes to an end later this year.
“Danny has made Mick Carter an iconic character which we shall always be grateful for.
“However we won’t be saying goodbye just yet as there’s still quite some time – and plenty of explosive drama for Mick – to come before he departs Walford.”
